Friday Night

We try to do something fun together on Friday nights. In my "ideal" world Friday night is "date night". Tonight we went out to Eddie and Jeni Welch's house for dinner. Dinner was great. We had steak, corn on the bone as Connor calls it, baked potato, mac. Salad, deviled eggs, and cake for dessert. There was a ton of food. Jeni if you read this. Thanks again for dinner it was great. Having steaks on the grill makes us even more want to buy a new BBQ grill! I think we may need to look into that. Connor enjoyed going because he loves to play with Megan. To Connor Megan is like "one of the guys". He thinks she is pretty cool.

In other news. We signed Connor up for T-Ball tonight since he has been asking when he is going to be able to play for the last month. He is a hundred times more excited about playing this year than he was last year.

Thank You

Just thought I'd take a minute to say thanks to all of you who are reading my blog. I'm really new at this. I'm doing my very best to post something everyday. To those of you who know me best you know it's not like me to be at a loss for words. As unbelievable as it may sound it is sometimes hard for me to come up with things to write about. Thanks a bunch to everyone who has left comments. I get to feeling down if I don't get any comments but then I remember how many different blogs I read almost every day and hardly ever leave a comment. I'll try to keep the content interesting as possible. My life isn't that exciting but hopefully I'll be able to keep you somewhat entertained and informed.

Thanks Again!

Baby Update

Well, We decided to go ahead and clean the fish tank. It was nasty! The new total count on babies is 12! They seem to be doing alright with the water change. The algae eater is pretty ticked off about the water change. He doesn't seem to like it one bit. My gupies love it when the water is changed. They love to play in the bubbles from the filter also. We went to Wal-Mart tonight and bought some new filters. Ours hadn't been changed since we bought the tank in December, no wonder the water was nasty! The package says to change the filter ever 2-4 weeks. Yea, like that's goin' to happen.

K9 Update

As you all know Jacob is trying to raise money for a K9. This has been an uphill battle the entire way. We have worked day and night to make this dream a reality. The initial cost of the dog is $4500, not including the money that will be needed for equipment, vet services etc..

Today we have hit a very important mark in our goal. We are within $1000 of having the initial $4500!! This is huge to us. We can almost see a light at the end of a very long tunnel. The last $1000 isn't going to be easy. We have hit just about every business in Wright County.

Currently we are selling T-shirts that were graciously donated by Francis Kelley of TEK. A big thank you goes out to him and Jamie who donated the screenprinting. If you would like to purchase a T-Shirt we are selling them for $10. I'll try to get a picture posted of them soon, Can't post one right now because mines in the washer and Jake's gone with the rest of them ;)

Please keep us in your thoughts as we try to raise the last $1000.

A Loss In The Family

It seems my male Molly has died. I don't know what happened. Maybe he was sick, maybe he was old, I don't know. Or maybe my female got what she wanted from him and then done him in. Not that I blame her. Afterall she was done with him. I can't say it's a bad idea. ;)

I don't think we'll be needing to replace him anytime soon as now we have 10 babies. Maybe they'll all be female! My offer still stands on anyone who would like a few new fish. I think almost 20 fish in our small tank is a little too many! They should be big enough to handle a water change in about a week.

We have Babies!!!

For Christmas this year we bought Connor a fish tank and some fish. About a month ago I bought him a few more fish for his collection. All fish we were told were Male. Well guess what??? We have babies!! Jacob went to feed the fish tonight and announced that we are the proud parents of around 10 baby fish. They are small and move quick so I couldn't count them all. I counted 7 for sure but I know that I wasn't able to see them all. I think maybe we have had them for several days now. Connor usually feeds the fish and he must have just not noticed them because they are a pretty good size now, for baby fish that is.

What is a blog?

Even though I thought I was the last person in the world to have a blog, and trust me if my father-in-law has one I'm pretty close. :)

So What is a blog? Blog is short for weblog. A weblog is a journal (or newsletter) that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption. Blogs generally represent the personality of the author or the Web site.

So What can you expect to see in my blog? Info and updates on me and my family. I'll post pictures of Connor and I'll tell you all updates on us getting a K-9.

I have some exciting news to post next so stay tuned!!!

All Excited

It is absolutely crazy how excited I am over my new blog. I'm like a kid with a new toy! Although it may not seem exciting there is a new feature that I've added. To your right there is now a link for "Email Me" and I think it actually works! Funny how a simple thing like that can be so difficult. The world of html is still a foreign language to me. I'm just trying to learn enough to survive. I can't wait to see how many other things I can play with!

My New Blog!!

Yes, Ladies and gentlemen I have come into the world of blogging. This site will be temporary until Jacob buys yet another computer so that we can host our own websites.
Be sure to add this site to your favorites! More exciting stuff to come very soon!
