Painting

We went to Wal-Mart tonight to buy some much needed paint for the kitchen. I went in wanting to buy a off white/cream color. I came out with.... GREEN! Yep, so much for painting with neutral colors! Actualy I think it looks really nice. Very modern looking. I was afraid it would turn out like a bad color from the 70's. It's really cute. I'll try to post some pictures of it tomorrow when the room is all put back together. It's all still drying now.
The best part is that the reason we ended up with green was that they had a bunch of already colored pain made up and on clearance for 50% off! Which meant we were able to buy better quality paint for less money that the cheap stuff we had planned to buy.

Floor Plans

We went and looked at manufactured homes and floor plans today. They sure are beautiful!! I can't wait to be moved. One thing is for sure though.. We can't move until we sell our house... and we can't sell our house until we get it listed. So that's where we need to be now. Hopefully in just a few days we will be taking a trip to our realtors office and putting our house on the market. Property moves pretty slow around here so we'll just have to hope for the best.

Last T-Ball Game

Here is Jacob with Connor and his trophy he got tonight. Tonight was his last game of the season.

Jacob and his dad got my hot water fixed today. Now we just have to pray nothing else breaks!

This sucks

We have water. It's not hot water but at least we can use the bathroom again. It's not been a good day... It's not been a good week... To be honest it's not been a good year. At this point I don't know what's next. I'm sick of it. Bring on the rain.

Jacob's worked hard on it today. Thanks Babe! I know you are trying.

If it's not one thing it's....

I've had it! I really can't take this! For the last at least two weeks it has been extremely hot in my kitchen and twice I have thought I heard running water. Once the dishwasher was running and the second time I thought Jacob had left the outside facet on. Well, tonight I go into my HOT kitchen and I can hear water again. Thinking "great he left the water on" I go outside to turn it off. Only to find it's not on! So back inside I look under the sink, nothing. Then I notice that the sound is coming from my vent and that my vent is REALLY hot! I call Jacob. He comes home. We have a busted hot water line under our house!! There was steam everywhere.

So Jacob turned off the water. No water, no bathroom, no kool-aid, no dishes, no dinner..... Ya know I keep telling myself there's only way to go from here and that's up but no it can and it DOES get worse. I have just had it.

Tepee

We went to a craft fair in Seymour today. They had these tepees. Connor fell in love with them and my brother Scott bought him one. He played in it all day. It is pretty large. It is aprox. 6ft. high from the top of the wooden poles.
Connor says Thanks Uncle Scott!

Bowling/Spa Party

I went bowling tonight. That was fun. I bowled 142. That is pretty good for me. I smashed my finger in the door earlier and it still hurts. It's all purple looking now. :(
Jacob is off work tomorrow but I have to work.
I'm suppose to be having a Spa party Friday night. I haven't heard from the consultant and I forgot to send out my invites. I'll make sure that it's still on.

Haven't been posting much

I haven't been posting much. I got a little down that I wasn't getting any feedback. It had been over a week since Jacob had even been to my blog. He did post a comment tonight but only because I kept bugging him to read my blog. oh well.

I did some work to my pond tonight. I picked up some nice flat rocks when we went fishing the other night. They look really nice. Still need a bunch more rocks and a bunch more mulch.

We went and talked to a contractor about building a house today. He's going to get back with us on some estimates. I start to stress out every time I even think about all the work and decisions. Jacob better be willing to make all these decisions because I really don't think I can handle it. I don't do stress very well. I told Jacob I didn't even want to pick out the outlet covers. lol There is NO WAY we can afford to have the contractor do all of the work. Jacob says he is going to do almost all of the finishing work himself. I'm just having a hard time seeing him working nights getting up EARLY and working all day. Who knows how long this could take... I think I'll continue to look at manufactured houses, just incase. :)

Guess What???

My drain is back up AGAIN. Called the plummer and of course they can't come until Monday. They better fix it and fix it right this time or they won't want to see me. lol
ok in better news I'll have a new cake pic to post in a couple hours. :)

It's gettin' warm

Boy it's Hot! I'm making a cake tonight for a birthday party on Saturday so my kitchen is really warm.
We called today and got prices on a well and septic. It's crazy to think that just the prep work for our new house is going to cost almost as much as the house we have now. And that doesn't include... the house! I had very good reasons for not wanting to build.. I'm already starting to be reminded of those reasons. Hopefully it will all be worth it in the very end. We still are not 100% sure on what direction we are going to be goin. It will all depend on the estimates from the contractor.. now if we could only get ahold of him.
I listed more stuff on Ebay. I think I'll make a link on the right so you all can check out my Ebay auctions. I'm about 1/3 of the way to my goal for this month.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN

Today is my nephew Ryan's 16th birthday! It's also flag day and Donald Trump's birthday which fits Ryan because he wants to be an astronaut. He'll be patriotic and rich. :)
He's a great young man. I do hope my son is as good as he is when he's 16. I love you Rynie!

Daily thoughts...

Jacob went to the American Legion meeting tonight. They donated $300 to the K9 fund! Which reminds me that I still have a stack of Thank You cards that I've got to get in the mail.

My KISS auctions have ended. Most of them doing pretty well. I'm still working on my goal to make enough to pay off our Lowes card by the time it's due again.

We are currently looking for a good contractor! If anyone has worked personally with any close to us we'd love to hear about them. We have our floorplan laid our, for IF we decide to build. At this point I'm really not sure which direction we are heading. Hopefully I'll know soon.

Game Night

It's "Game night". Connor did well at his game. Only 2 more games left in this season. Next week they play at 6:00pm and then on the 26th at 7:00pm.
Jacob and Saide got to come by and watch most of his game. Connor bat first again so they missed him batting the the first round.

New Patio furniture

Here is my new patio set that Mom and Dad bought me today. I wish I had taken a "before" picture of it. It was brown and only one of the 4 chairs had a bottom in it. Jacob made new bottoms for all of them and him, mom and I painted them.

I think it turned out really nice. Now I can sit out there and watch my pond, well as soon as the paint dries I can!

Thanks Mom!

Work is done

I'm home from work. Tonight was the last night of the show. My mom and Connor went to work with me tonight to keep me from getting bored. Connor kept saying "When are you going to work" I would tell him that I was working and he would say "But you aren't doing anything". Yep that's my job! I was sure glad to have company!

I gave Emmy a bath today and she sure smells better. We also got both Emmy and Sadie's flea stuff on them. I am pleased to say that a couple months ago we switched from Frontline to
Hartz, which they sell at Wal-Mart and it works GREAT. It seems to wear off just a little bit quicker but for the price difference!! Frontline costs over $10 a month and I bought a 3 month pack at Wal-Mart for $5! Frontline works great but I have found that the Hartz works just as well. Also on the subject of pesty fleas and ticks, since it is that time of the year.. If your dog gets them really bad you can buy a sulfur Dip. They sell this at your Vets office. I got a gallon jug of it at Wetstone Vet. Clinic for $7.50. It smells NASTY! It really smells alot like rotten eggs BUT it will kill everything but the dog! I highly recommend it.

As for your yard I just put out some seven dust that you can get for around $4 at Wal-Mart to keep away fleas, ticks, ants etc.. I'll give you all a review of that stuff in a few weeks. Also I put out sulfur, bought at our local MFA, to keep away snakes. We will see how these two products work.

Today

Jacob went to work with me tonight. He thinks my job is horribly boring. I think he spent more on food than I made by working. lol. We brought Connor home some cotton candy. He said it felt really funny.

Well, that's all I have to say today. Maybe I'll have more energy and more interesting things to talk about tomorrow.

Boy Scouts Yard Sale

I tried to post this earlier but Blogger was having problems and then they shut it down to fix it. The boy scouts are having their annual yard sale this weekend. It's being held in the Freds parking lot next to Town and Country. Everything is fill a bag for $1 or fill a box for $5. I got 4 bags! They have some really good stuff. Go check them out, find you some bargains and support our boy scouts all at the same time.

Work

I got off work early tonight! I was happy not to have to work until midnight. If I'd been working at the sale barn tonight I'd still be there for several more hours.
I had forgot to blog tonight before I left for work so I guess it's a good thing I got off early. I know you all would have missed me!! lol

KISS Auctions

Jacob has decided to sell all of his KISS stuff. He's had it all in a box for years and he had me list them all on Ebay today. I was shocked. I never thought he'd ever part with this stuff but it was his idea!
Anyway, if you'd like to get your hands on some very cool KISS items you can bid on them HERE. Our Ebay name is GabrielsMemory if you want to look us up that way.
All proceeds go to us paying off our Lowes card! We only owe $300. It's from where Jacob put in all electric heat in the house last year. Our min. payment is only $15 but we want to have our bills down to a bare minimum by the time we move.

Working on moving

Well, we have been "thinking" about moving for some time now but never really got around to doing anything about it. So I guess it just hit us that Connor will be starting school next year and Jacob really wants him to go to Norwood. So today we went and talked to the bank. They told us how much our payments would be on X amounts of dollars. They also said that they didn't see any reason why we wouldn't be able to get the loan. They gave us an application and a balance sheet to go ahead and fill out so we could get preapproved. Doing all of this now will help save us time later. We just wanted to talk to them first to make sure we could get the loan and that we could afford the payments. The last thing we wanted was to sell our house and then be told we couldn't have the house we wanted. Talking to them made me feel better and we're ready to move on with getting the house ready to sell.
So now all my friends and relatives within a 30 mile radius have been warned. We may need to have a painting party. I'll fix lunch!!! Any takers???

My Ball Player

Here is my big t-ball player! He did good tonight. By the end of the game about half of his team was laying down on the field or playing in the dirt by the bases but he was still up playing.

Late Reminder

Connor has a t-ball game tonight at 6:00pm. Tonight is picture night so we have to be there at 5:30.

Yard Work

I had the yard mowed this morning before Jacob even got our of bed. This evening I've been working on putting mulch down in my new garden area. I got 2 bags down but it looks as if I should have bought several more bags. I'm thinking it's going to need 3 more bags. They probably another 3-4 bags to finish the rest of the yard. They were out of the color of mulch that I had previously bought so I had to get another kind. I think I like this color better.

My mom and dad bought Connor a new dresser today. Well, we sort of traded. We had a huge closet type thing that I was going to put in the yard sale this last weekend and use the money to buy him a new dresser. So Mom took the closet and bought Connor a dresser in return. It's all put together but I haven't put his clothes away yet. I have to get that done tonight.

My weekend

This weekend has been busy. This weekend was city wide yard sales. Afterwards the boy scouts came by and picked up all of our leftover junk. They are going to have a big yard sale next weekend. We were one of the very last people they picked up and they commented that our stuff was some of the neatest packed stuff they had picked up, we had to have it boxed and ready.

Yesterday was also my mom and my Uncle Ronnie's birthday's. I won't tell how old they are.

I delivered my cake this morning that I had decorated last night.

Connor bought a Spiderman toy that he's been really wanting with his yard sale money.

Wedding Cake

Here is a picture of the wedding cake I made tonight. It turned out pretty good I think. It looks better in person than it does in the picture.

The Drain is Fixed!!

Yippy! My drain is fixed. My father-in-law came up this morning and helped Jacob take just about every pipe out from under our house and clean it all out. I'm so glad to have it fixed.

We went to bingo tonight. I won once and Jacob won twice!!

Got to go get started on cakes. It's late and I still have 6 cakes to make!
