Busy Week

It's been a busy week. Connor was sick. Luckily it didn't seem to last too long. The fever part anyway.

I went on a rescue call this week where a guy got his leg ran over by a bobcat. The machinery not the animal. :) It was the very first rescue call that Jacob and I got to go on together. Poor guy he was in so much pain. They flew him from Seymour due to the low cloud coverage in our county. That reminds me I need to call his mom and ask how he's doing..

We got new cell phones!! Man we were really needing them. We both got razors but mine is pink and Jacob's is navy blue. I really like them. We had looked at them the other day and they were still pretty high but then on Wednesday we noticed they dropped the price!

I went and got my nails filled. I was way over due. I told the guy at the salon that I had joined the fire dept and I came out with flames on my nails. lol. They are pretty cool. This should be the last time I have to go and get them done before my nails are long enough to not have the acrylic done.

Connor's sick again

Connor never gets sick and and now hw has been sick twice in a short amount of time. This time with a high fever. Mom picked him up from school and he didn't feel good then. His fever was 103.5 tonight. I've been giving him Motrin. It went down to 99.9 and he seemed to feel better. Then when I put him to bed it was 101.2. He proably will not be going to school tomorrow. I sure hope he gets to feeling better.

My First Call!

I have some exciting new that I haven't posted about yet. I joined the Norwood fire dept. Most of you know that I got my first responder certification back in 2003 but due to Mtn.Grove's husband/wife policy I was unable to join their department.

I joined last week. Today I went on my first medical call. We responded to a possible heart attack. The guys were making fun of Jacob because I responded to a call before he has!! It's nice being able to use the training that I have.

Connor is better

Luckily Connor's "bug" he caught only last about 24 hours. He did say last night that his belly was hurting and he wouldn't eat pizza. You know the kid doesn't feel well when he won't eat pizza!!

Today is my friend Jeni's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENI! I posted a cute happy birthday to you on your myspace.

I have a sick boy

Connor is sick. He's had a tummy ache the last two days. Last night was really bad he had diarrhea and was throwing up. I kept him home from school today. I was hoping that they would cancel school today so that he didn't have to miss a day. He's woke up a couple times but is still in bed!!

About My Space

What I like about it: I love the fact that I have talked with more people that I haven't seen in years in the last 2 days than I've talked to in 6 years. I seem to get lots of feedback and comments. I can store pictures. It has lots of neat features like mail, IMs, groups, friends list and so on.

What I don't like about it: It's not as simple to use. The blog is more difficult to find. The page will probably take awhile to load on dial up. We have DSL so this isn't a problem with us but I know several of my visitors use dial up, although I don't know WHY! :)

All in all I really like it. Much better than I thought I would. I always said it wasn't safe and I didn't want any part of it. It's safe as long as you are.

Blog vs Blog

It just happens that I have had my blog longer than Jacob. So why is it that his is so much more darn popular? My friends have came up and told him how much they like his blog. I'm like "hello I have a blog too ya know". I went to a party the other day and people were talking about HIS blog. My own mother e-mailed me this morning asking why his page wouldn't display. She said she had tried like 5 times. What makes this funny is that the reason it wouldn't display is that blogger was down. If she had tried to go to mine it was down also but she never said anything about mine!!!

On the other hand I think people are more scared to post comments on his blog. They don't want him to know they are nosey. ;)

Naked Santa

Here is a picture of the cake I was making last night. We have our holiday party to go to tonight at Francis and Jenni's. There is a story behind "Naked Santa" but I don't have time to write it now.

Keep Me Signed In

Do you ever go to a website that has one of those "Keep me signed in" boxes? Or Sometimes it reads "Remember my username and password". Well, how long is that good for? Because if I click on that box I want it to remember me..... FOREVER! Not for a day, a month or even a year. I'll sign out when I'm good and ready. Some sites go as far as remembering who you are but wanting you to reput in your password. I'm thinking you have let me be logged in for an hour and now you want me to put in a password. That's just crazy. I'm a little paranoid and have a different password for most every site. Remembering this password can be frustrating. Then if you click on the little icon that says "I'm a moron and forgot my password please send it to me AGAIN" it takes forever to follow all the directions to reset it. This is a pretty common occurace with me. Today it not only happened to me but my Father-in-law forgot his password. By the time we went through all the steps to reset his password he remembered it! And then when he decided he would just use that password again it wouldn't let him because it said you can't reset it to the previous password. I'm glad I'm not the only one with this trouble. There is at least two of us in the world.

There are sites that I will "Log Out" of. I like this power. I'll tell it when I'm ready to leave. Until them I'm still the same person quit asking me about my password!

Please don't look at the time of day this was posted at.... Great you looked didn't you? Ok, Well these are the kind of things I think about at 2am. Why am I up.. Baking a cake. :) My mom says I always wait until the last minute. She's right. I work well under pressure. That's my story anyway. Besides I think my oven only works after midnight. It's never been used any other time.

The only major appliance that didn't come with our new home was a washer and dryer. Since we don't have the money to pay cash for a new set and I REFUSE to put anything else on a credit card I'm currently trying to make enough money on Ebay to buy me one. The goal is to make enough money to buy a new set before we get our income tax refund so that we don't have to use it to buy one.

Since I start almost all of my auctions out at just .99 I better go and try to find about 490 more items to list :/
