Patience

Patience... That's the word of the day.

I'm trying real hard to have patience with people. I have to keep telling myself that we really did not expect to even have a contract by now.

So hear I go venting...

The Real Estate office- I can't say too much bad about them as they have produced a contract rather quickly! It is hard to get them to understand that Jacob had taken his vacation to be able to work on stuff next week. That means we really need to get this closing happening so we can work on other things.

Our Loan people. They told us we could get preapproved in just a day or two.. That was two weeks ago. They keep saying they really don't see a problem with us getting the loan but it would just be nice if we knew 100% and knew exactly what our payments and stuff would be.

Here is the big one..... The United States Postal Service! Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it the job of the united states postal service to bring and deliver the mail to the citizens of the united states. That's what they do!! That is their job!! This crazy postmaster is trying to tell me that my mailbox is going to have to be on a completely different road than my house! How crazy is that? I pretty much told him that it really wasn't under negotiation. He kept saying well we have to do this and we have to do that. So I'm thinking... What's the problem then DO IT. IT'S YOUR JOB! Then he says well we can't go down every single road or we'd be out until midnight.. Then hire more people. You are the government for crying out loud. For those of you reading this that might think that we are down a long gravel road or something.. this is NOT the case. We will be living on pavement less than one mile out of town. They go down the gravel road and that's where they want to put my mailbox. Why is this such a big deal to me?? I don't really mind walking down to the other road to get my mail. Afterall I go on walks pretty regularly but it's the principal of the thing. It's their job to bring it to me. I'm not crazy about leaving my son alone even if it's to walk half a mile to the mailbox. Also, we plan to live there forever. What happens when I'm 80. Not to mention the fact that Jacob is a police officer and really isn't in the business of making people happy. Therefore we will be replacing our mailbox every week do to it being vandalizes. Who knows how much mail we will lose. The battle is far from over. They WILL deliver my mail to my HOUSE! GRRR This just makes me so mad I could spit!

Your luck sounds like ours something that should be so easy turns into a major deal. Gets a bet hard to take sometimes.
