It's been a busy week.
Tuesday I had a weather spotter class that I went to. It was much more exciting than the last fire class I went to. I thought it was going to be a VERY long night when the class first started. We had some idiot in the front row that kept insisting why there was a tornado warning on whatever date when there was nothing on the radar.. blah, blah, blah.. no matter how many times the instructor told him that he would have to check the logs this guy couldn't "get it". After he could tell people were getting annoyed he shut up and was quiet most the rest of the evening.
Wednesday we met with the Burlington-Northern guy and discussed a settlement. They ended up making us 2 offers. I think we'll probably take the second offer. It's not as much as we had hoped but considering we did hit them!
Tonight we have a fire meeting.

Think of it this way. At least you are here and able to accept a settlement or not.
Was the weather deal neat after the guy shut up?
After meeting with BNSF my opinion has certainly changed. He was very polite and courteous. He actually seemed willing to help us get as much as he could based on their guidelines for settlements.
